29 November 2007

Recently, the single ‘I Want You’ by Canadian female pop trio Carried Away, which was released in North America in August 2007 with distribution by Infinity Music and CMC, won Pop/Contemporary Song of the Year at the 29th Annual Covenant Awards of GMA Canada held last October 26 in Calgary, Canada. Additionally, the trio also snagged four nominations which include Song of the Year (‘Mystery’), Group of the Year, and Seasonal Song of the Year (‘Soaring Trough the Sky’). This winter, the trios are spreading fine cheers with their latest Christmas single ‘Snow Falls’.

Otto Price agreed to make Carried Away’s initial full release of ‘Closer to You’, which had two top one hit singles from 2005 to 2006 in Canada. It also won Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year and Song of the Year in the GMA Canada Covenant Awards in 2005.

Their single ‘Snow Falls’ will soon be released on iTunes at the start of December. The trio is giving it for fee to their fan club members at www.insiders.carriedaway.ca. This Christmas, Carried Away is planning to do something very special, hence, the interactive video for ‘Snow Falls’.

Currently, Carried Away is finishing a North American tour along with the group of Jump5. Furthermore, the tour was in Canada last weekend for three dates, including a solo show in Ottawa. This year, the group performed numerous dates in the US and Canada. In 2006, they performed in Calgary, Alberta at the Women of Faith Conference for 8,500 women. In 2008, a Canadian tour is also being planned.
